How to add Calendly to a Squarespace site

Here’s how to connect your calendar to Calendly so your availability stays in sync and avoids double bookings:

1. In Calendly, go to Availability → Calendar settings.
2. Select + Connect calendar account and choose your calendar type (for example, Google, Outlook/Office 365, or Exchange).
3. Sign in to your calendar account and allow access.
4. Select the calendar(s) Calendly should check for conflicts, and choose where new bookings go.
5. Save your settings and make sure your calendar shows as connected.

Once connected, Calendly checks your calendar for busy times and adds new meetings to it. If you connect more than one calendar, choose one as your main calendar for bookings.

Calendly offers three embed options:

1. Inline embed – Displays your scheduling page directly within your website.
2. Pop-up text – Opens your scheduling page in a pop-up when a link is clicked.
3. Pop-up widget – Adds a floating button to your page that opens a pop-up when selected.

To add Calendly to your website:

1. Choose the page you want to embed:
   * Landing page embed – Displays all active personal or team event types.
   * Booking page embed – Displays a single event type.
2. Select the three dots (•••) next to your chosen page, then click Add to website.
3. Choose your embed type: inline embed, pop-up widget, or pop-up text.
4. Select Continue, make any adjustments, then click Copy code.

To troubleshoot unavailable times that should be available:

1. Open the event type you want to review from your Scheduling page.
2. Select Preview.
3. Click Troubleshoot at the bottom of the preview page.
4. Choose the date and time that appear unavailable but should be open.
5. Review the list of reasons explaining why the time is not available.

To connect your Google Calendar:

1. Go to your Availability page, then select the Calendar settings tab.
2. Select + Connect calendar account, then choose Google Calendar.

After connecting, you can choose which calendars Calendly checks for conflicts and which calendar new meetings are added to.

Here's how to fine-tune your availability:

1. Go to your Scheduling page and select the event type you want to update.
2. Select More options and open the section you want to edit.
   * Limits and buffers: Set meeting limits and buffer times
   * Free/busy rules: Choose what this meeting takes priority over
   * Booking page options: Set start time increments

When you’re done, select Save changes. Then check your booking page to make sure it looks right.

To connect your Office 365 or Outlook.com calendar:

1. From your Calendly home page, select Availability from the sidebar and select the Calendar settings tab.
2. In Calendar settings, select Connect next to Outlook Calendar.
3. Sign in to your Microsoft account when the sign-in window opens.
4. Confirm your Outlook account appears in Calendar settings to complete the connection.

Here’s how to add time before or after meetings using buffers:

1. Go to the Scheduling page and select the event type you want to edit.
2. Select More options, then Limits and buffers.
3. Select + Set buffer time.
4. Add your preferred buffer time before and/or after the meeting.
5. Select Save changes.

Your buffer changes will apply to new bookings and help prevent back-to-back meetings.

Here's how to add your Calendly scheduler to a WordPress site:

1. Get your embed code — In Calendly, select the three dots next to event type or landing page you want to share and select Add to website. Choose how you want it to appear, then select Copy code.
2. Open your WordPress dashboard and go to the page where you want the scheduler to appear.
3. Add a Custom HTML block (or Custom HTML widget) and paste the Calendly embed code.
4. Select Publish or Update, then preview the page to confirm the scheduler displays correctly.

If your plan doesn't support HTML embeds, you can add a link to your Calendly scheduling page instead.

Here's how to set up meeting limits:

1. Go to your Scheduling page and open the Event Type you want to edit.
2. Select More options, then find Limits and buffers.
3. Turn on Meeting limits and choose how many times this Event Type can be booked per day, week, or month.
4. Save your changes so the limits apply.

The next time someone books this Event Type, Calendly will enforce the limits you set.
